Getting started

The SOE curriculum map
Five core units, run in order. Each one pairs with NGPF lessons available in your dashboard.
Income, expenses, saving systems, and building a first real budget.
Credit scores, cards, loans, and the cost of borrowing.
Stocks, bonds, index funds, compounding, and risk.
W-2s, withholding, brackets, and filing for the first time.
Validation, pricing, MVPs, and running a small business.
What is expected of an advisor
- Hold at least two meetings per month during the school year.
- Post every meeting in your dashboard with a date, time, and Google Meet link.
- Aim for 45 to 60 minutes: warm up, lesson, discussion, next steps.
- Work through the SOE units in order, and use NGPF lessons to go deeper.
- Mark attendance in the dashboard after each meeting.
- Students should finish at least one unit per semester.
- Students lead the lessons. Advisors supervise, they do not lecture.
- Rotate presenters so every member leads at least once a year.
- Help students prepare, then let them run the room.
- Follow your school and district policies at all times.
- No personal financial advice, no product sales, no political endorsements.
- Keep student data inside the platform. Do not share rosters externally.
Multiple teachers per town
A town can have one lead teacher and any number of co-teachers. Co-teachers see the full roster, schedule meetings, take attendance, and assign lessons.
To add another teacher: send them your town join code. They sign up as a teacher, open the dashboard, pick "Join a town", and enter the code. You approve the request from the Teachers panel in your town console.
The lead teacher can regenerate the join code at any time, which stops the old code from working.
